Allied Health Class Celebrating scholarship announcement

We are extremely proud to share that Tyniyah Haughton, Crestview High School Senior and participant in the Take Stock in Children program, was named a Leader 4 Life Fellow! This $40,000 scholarship is awarded to six students across the state each year. Tyniyah is Okaloosa’s second student to be named a L4L Fellow in the thirteen years this scholarship program has been sponsored by the Asofsky Family Foundation in partnership with Take Stock in Children.

Tyniyah was informed she was a finalist before winter break when Mr. Jay Sanders, Principal of Crestview High, and many other members of her support system surprised her in her CTE Allied Health class where her passion to become a Doctor of Internal Medicine has grown. In January she was surprised again in the same class with balloons and flowers with the news that she won!

Congratulations, Tyniyah!
