Okaloosa County Schools utilizes a nationally recognized crisis management training program to prevent, minimize, and manage the safety of students. All schools will have a QBS Safety-Care® Crisis Response Team which includes a group of employees who have received specialized QBS Safety-Care® Crisis Response training in De-escalation and Restraint, in accordance with §1003.573, Florida Statutes, and District policy. The role of the QBS Safety-Care® Crisis Response Team is to respond and assist with a student(s) is displaying behavior(s) considered to be a safety risk to himself and/or others.
