Students, Teachers, Administrators participating in a Ribbon Cutting for the New Sign

A project that is four years in the making is finally complete! Laurel Hill School has a new sign. This sign represents more than the school; it represents the students who attend the school and the community that supports the school. When people travel to the Emerald Coast, they drive by the sign, which until now, lacked luster.

The original sign was installed in the 80s. People from out of town stop to take photos by the sign because of Laurel Hill School’s unique mascot- the Hoboes. Superintendent Chambers mentioned that “the sign is an enhancement for the school and community, but most importantly for the students because their accomplishments can be displayed for everyone that drives by to see.” Mrs. Lee Martello, Principal of Laurel Hill School, shared her appreciation of Chairman Bryant, who helped purchase the new sign, Superintendent Chambers for his support, Dr. Kelley, who was a student, teacher, and principal of the school, and Mayor of Laurel Hill, Robby Adams, for their enthusiasm and commitment to the school and community.
