Congratulations to Craig Kinsley on being named the Assistant Principal of Lewis School at the May 26th School Board meeting. Mr. Kinsley, current Dean at Lewis School, brings 28 years of distinguished educational experience to Okaloosa County School District, including 17 years of successful administrative leadership as an assistant principal at one high school and two middle schools, as well as two years serving as a middle school principal in the School District of Indian River County.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University and a master’s degree in educational leadership for Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Kinsley was honored as Assistant Principal of the Year for the 2021–2022 school year in Indian River County in recognition of his outstanding leadership and dedication to students, staff, and school communities.
Following the 2023–2024 school year, Mr. Kinsley relocated to Northwest Florida with his wife, Tracey, as she pursued her role as Executive Director of the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Mr. Kinsley initially served as a 5th grade teacher at Florosa Elementary School before transitioning into his current role as Dean at Lewis School. He looks forward to continuing to support the students, staff, and families of Lewis School through his extensive experience in instructional leadership, school culture, and student support.
