The Okaloosa County School District proudly celebrates the graduation of three outstanding students from the Okaloosa UP (Unique Professionals) Program at Okaloosa Technical College. Graduates Raj Mulwani, Kaitlyn McCarthy, and Nerea “Rea” Agnew crossed the stage last week, marking an important milestone in their educational journey and future career paths. Okaloosa UP is a postsecondary program designed for adult students with intellectual disabilities, providing opportunities for continued learning, career exploration, and personal growth in an inclusive college environment. Through hands-on instruction in areas such as culinary arts and carpentry, employability training, campus involvement, and real-world work experiences, students develop independence, confidence, workplace skills, and meaningful connections.

The program focuses on preparing students for success in employment, independent living, and lifelong learning by helping them discover their strengths and build the skills necessary for the future. “These graduates represent perseverance, determination, and the incredible impact of opportunity and support,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “Raj, Kaitlyn, and Rea have worked hard to develop valuable life and career skills, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. Their success reflects Okaloosa UP's mission: empowering students to grow in confidence, pursue their goals, and prepare for meaningful futures. We look forward to seeing all they will achieve in the years ahead.”

Throughout their time in the program, the graduates participated in hands-on learning experiences that prepared them for real-world success while building lasting friendships and connections within the college community. The Okaloosa County School District and Okaloosa Technical College congratulate Raj, Kaitlyn, and Rea on this remarkable achievement and wish them continued success on their journeys ahead.
