Subtext reads, “We have REimagined learning to elevate what already makes our schools exceptional.” The image shows a classroom scene with a young student wearing glasses writing with a pencil at a desk, surrounded by other students and school supplies. A yellow starburst reads, “It starts with us! Student success begins in our kindergarten classrooms.” The OCSD logo appears in the bottom right corner.

The Okaloosa County School District is encouraging families to register incoming kindergarten students early for the 2026–2027 school year to help schools prepare for a strong start. There’s never been a better time to start kindergarten—we’ve taken what already makes our schools exceptional and made it even better for our youngest learners.

Kindergarten classrooms across the district are designed to be engaging and supportive, with an elevated focus on hands-on learning, relationship building, and developing foundational skills. Students are encouraged to explore, collaborate, and build confidence as they begin their educational journey.

Children who turn five on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in full-day kindergarten programs at all elementary schools. Early registration allows schools to plan for staffing, classroom assignments, and the resources needed to support student success.

Visit our registration page to begin the registration process. For questions or assistance, families are encouraged to contact their zoned school.
