Okaloosa County School District Board Member Tim Bryant Recognized with Distinguished Leader Award

The Okaloosa County School District is proud to announce that School Board Member Tim Bryant has been honored with the prestigious Distinguished Leader Award from the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA), recognizing his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to student success. The Distinguished Leader Award is one of FSBA’s highest honors, presented to board members who exemplify excellence in governance, leadership development, and continuous professional learning. To earn this distinction, recipients must first complete both the Certified Board Member (CBM) and Advanced Certified Board Member (ACBM) programs, demonstrating a deep commitment to effective school board service.

“Tim Bryant leads with integrity and a genuine passion for serving our students, staff, and families,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “He is thoughtful in his approach, committed to doing what is right for children, and consistently works to strengthen our schools and community. This recognition is well deserved, and we are grateful for his leadership and service to Okaloosa County.”

Tina Pinkoson, Director of Leadership Services for the Florida School Boards Association, also recognized Mr. Bryant’s achievement, stating, “By earning the Distinguished Leader Award, Mr. Bryant demonstrates outstanding leadership, a commitment to continuous learning, and a lasting positive impact on students, schools, and their community.”

Mr. Bryant will be formally recognized at the 2026 FSBA/FADSS Annual Summer Conference on June 11, 2026, in Tampa, Florida, where education leaders from across the state will gather to celebrate excellence in school board leadership. The Florida School Boards Association represents all 67 elected school boards across the state and has supported effective governance and advocacy for public education since 1930.
