Niceville HS Swim Team members at March 9th School Board meeting.

The Niceville High School (NHS) Swim teams were recognized at the March 9th School Board Meeting for winning several Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) championships. The accomplishments of the Niceville High School student‑athletes highlight the dedication and discipline required to achieve a state championship. Success is not defined by the performance on the day of the meet alone, but by the countless hours of preparation that take place long before, offseason conditioning, summer workouts, and early morning practices when others are still asleep. These athletes have pushed through moments of doubt and fear, challenging themselves at every stage, whether this year, in previous seasons, or even back in middle school. Their commitment reflects the true value of sports: building resilience, confidence, and a belief in what is possible. Few ever reach the distinction of being state champions, making their achievement both rare and deeply meaningful.

Congratulations to:

  • Elisabeth Breck who won the 2025 FHSAA Class 3A Girls Swimming 100-meter Backstroke State Championship and is the most accomplished female swimmer in the history of NHS. She holds numerous county and school records and has been a state qualifier for four years. Elisabeth has 15 state medals, and she is Niceville's first ever female to win an individual state event. She holds a 4.6 grade point average and plans to swim at the University of Buffalo.
