Okaloosa County School Board Member Tim Bryant has earned recognition from the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) for his steadfast commitment to effective governance and professional excellence, receiving the Advanced Certified Board Member (Advanced CBM) distinction. The Advanced CBM designation is awarded to school board members who earn 30 professional development points in a single year, demonstrating exceptional dedication to continuous learning. This recognition builds upon FSBA’s Certified Board Member (CBM) program, which requires more than 96 hours of training focused on leadership, ethics, advocacy, and strategic governance.

FSBA officials commended Bryant’s persistent dedication to service and lifelong learning. “School Board Member Bryant’s continued pursuit of professional growth is truly inspiring,” said Tina Pinkoson, FSBA Director of Leadership Services. “Since his initial election in 2016, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for learning and a dedication to serving students, families, and his community. Earning Advanced Certified Board Member status reflects not only his personal commitment, but also his leadership mindset and willingness to go above and beyond.”

Okaloosa County School District Superintendent Marcus Chambers emphasized the value of informed, dynamic leadership at the board level. “Effective governance begins with a commitment to learning, and Tim Bryant exemplifies that commitment,” said Superintendent Chambers. His dedication to professional development strengthens our board’s decision-making and ultimately supports student success across Okaloosa County. We are fortunate to have leaders who continuously invest in improving themselves in service to our schools and community.”

FSBA's leadership programs equip school board members across the state to address complex educational issues and advocate for robust public schools. Bryant’s accomplishment demonstrates both his personal drive and the high standards of the Okaloosa County School Board.
