The Okaloosa County School District and the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation are hosting the Okaloosa County K-12 Student Art Show at the C. H. "Bull" Rigdon Fairgrounds (also known as Northwest Florida Fairgrounds) located at 1958 Lewis Turner Blvd in Fort Walton Beach on April 17-18. Over 2,500 pieces of artwork from 15 elementary, middle, and high schools will be displayed. The exhibit will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both days, and admission is free. A reception will be held on April 18 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. During the reception, Best of Show awards will be presented to middle school and high school artists for 2-D and 3-D works.
This is the 24th year that the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation has partnered with the Okaloosa County School District to organize this student art show.
