The students and educators representing the East Panhandle Regional Fair had a great week at the 69th State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida. The event took place April 1-5 in Lakeland, Florida, where our 19 students competed against regional fair winners from 36 other Florida regions. The week of competition included a STEM field trip to iFLY, where students calculated predicted terminal velocity, participated in experimental data collection, and enjoyed experiencing the vertical wind tunnel in person. Our students received 17 awards, and 13 students were called to the stage to be recognized. It is prestigious to be invited to compete at the state level, and it is thrilling to hear your name called once there! Congratulations to our State Finalists and winners.
