The Okaloosa County School Board approved Jordan Berry as the Principal of Bluewater Elementary School, and Donna (Lisa) Kimbrough, as the Assistant Principal of Crestview High School at the February 12, 2024, School Board meeting.

Jordan Berry was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida (FL), where he graduated from Manatee High School in 2003. After High School, he attended the University of West Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. In 2008, Mr. Berry began his teaching career at Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL. During his time at Escambia High School, he taught Intensive Reading, World History, and U.S. History classes while coaching Cross Country, Soccer, and Baseball. While in Pensacola, Mr. Berry met his amazing wife, Liz, and had two beautiful children.

In 2014, Mr. Berry was hired at Lewis School, where he continued teaching Social Studies and coaching Baseball. He earned his master’s degree in educational leadership in 2018 from the University of West Florida and was hired the following year to serve as the Dean of Students. Mr. Berry was hired as the Assistant Principal at Lewis School in 2019 and was named the Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for 2024.

Lisa Kimbrough is a proud product of the Okaloosa County School system. A graduate of Crestview High School (CHS), she earned both her bachelor’s in English and her master’s in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida. Mrs. Kimbrough returned to her high school alma mater where she has taught various levels of English for 20 years. During her time in the classroom, she also sponsored various clubs and organizations, including the Student Government and the Christian Student Union.  She coached Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleading for eight years, with her 2010 team winning the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Competitive Cheerleading Championship in the Small Varsity Co-ed Division. Mrs. Kimbrough was given the Florida Governor’s Shine Award in 2016 and was named Crestview High School’s Teacher of the Year in 2017.

Mrs. Kimbrough returned to school in 2020 to earn her Educational Leadership certification. In 2022, she stepped out of the classroom and into her current Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA) position. Her responsibilities have included being the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), 504, and Plan of Care coordinator, the Purple Star military liaison, as well as assisting with curriculum and discipline. Married to Ben Kimbrough, also an educator in Okaloosa County, they have six children and three grandchildren. Mrs. Kimbrough is excited to take on the challenge of this new role and is looking forward to continuing to serve CHS and her Bulldog family.
