Norah Hall, Plew ES, Recognized at School Board meeting

Congratulations to Norah Hall, a 5th grader at Plew Elementary School, who was recognized by Superintendent Marcus Chambers and the School Board for her essay on "Celebrating Florida's Hispanic Heroes and Their Contributions to Freedom" and being selected as one of just fourteen students statewide, (the only student from Okaloosa County and the Panhandle) as a 2023 Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest winner by Governor Ron DeSantis.

On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Governor DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis welcomed Norah and her family at the Governor's mansion in Tallahassee, Florida, where she received a plaque and won a two-year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation, plus a $100 gift card for school supplies.
