The Okaloosa County School District invites its community partners and members of the media to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Longwood Elementary School to celebrate the recent additions to their campus on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 50 Holly Avenue, Shalimar. Longwood was built forty years ago with an open classroom concept. Thanks to voter support and approval of the Half-Cent Sales Tax, the school now has self-contained classrooms, each outfitted with innovative technology and new roofing.
The ceremony begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.; therefore, we ask those attending to arrive by 7:15 a.m. For those interested, RSVP to Catherine Card.
