Women Presenting Sticker

The OCSD applauds the efforts of the Fort Walton Beach Woman’s Club and local law enforcement to increase awareness about human trafficking among our students. Did you know Florida is third in the nation for reported human trafficking cases? Both adults and children can be victims. "The safety of our students is the top priority, and education is essential on the dangers of human trafficking and how to spot and report it," stated Superintendent Marcus Chambers.

The organization is placing decals on all stall doors in bathrooms and locker rooms throughout the county and they started at Pryor Middle School last week. The decals have a hotline number that individuals can call to report a situation involving human trafficking. All secondary schools throughout the county's south end will have the decals in place before the new school year begins and the plan is to have the decals in all Okaloosa secondary schools.
