Allison Baggett, a senior at Baker School, was recognized at the May 8, 2023, School Board meeting for winning the 22-23 119-pound. Class 1A Girls Olympic Lifts State Championship. She lifted in both the Traditional and Olympic Categories. In the Traditional lifts, she came in second in the state with a 165-pound Bench Press and a 190-pound Power Clean and Jerk for a total of 355 pounds. In the Olympic lifts, she won the State Championship with a 125-pound Snatch Lift and a 190-pound Power Clean and Jerk (which tied the State record). This totaled 315 pounds.
Last year, as a Junior year, Allison won two State Championships in the 110-weight class. She won both the Traditional Category and the Snatch Category. Allison is a three-time State Champion in Girl’s Weightlifting.
