Marcus Chambers, Superintendent of the Okaloosa County School District, recognized three outstanding seniors with the Florida Prepaid Superintendent Scholarship for their academic success, leadership, and commitment to education careers. This year’s recipients, Ainsley Bentley (Choctawhatchee High), Jaivion Parks (Crestview High), and Caden Bell (Fort Walton Beach High), each received a 2-Year Florida College Plan Scholarship through Florida Prepaid. All three are eager to return as educators and give back to the communities that supported them.

“This was truly an honor,” Chambers said. “These students represent the very best of Okaloosa County Schools, dedicated, driven, and passionate about serving others through education.” Now in its third year, the scholarship program is the result of an ongoing partnership between the Okaloosa County School District and Florida Prepaid. This year marks a significant milestone, as the program expanded to include a third scholarship, increasing opportunities for students committed to entering the teaching profession.

Each recipient has shown perseverance, character, and leadership. Their dedication supports the District’s goal to develop educators for inclusive, supportive, high-quality classrooms. “These seniors exemplify what it means to lead with passion, purpose, and heart,” Chambers added. “Their commitment to creating spaces where students can thrive is inspiring, and I am confident they will make a lasting impact in classrooms and communities for years to come.”

By investing in students who aspire to become teachers, the Superintendent Scholarship program helps build a strong pipeline of future educators. These students understand the value of public education from the inside out. The District looks forward to following them as they continue their studies and work toward careers shaping the next generation of learners. “We cannot wait to see them leading classrooms, inspiring students, and helping shape the future of education,” Chambers said. “Congratulations to these deserving seniors, we are incredibly proud of you.”
