We’re proud to announce the appointment of three outstanding educators to new leadership roles in our district:

Janette Dunn - Assistant Principal at Richbourg School

Janette Dunn - Assistant Principal at Richbourg School

Ms. Dunn began her career in the Okaloosa County School District as a 5th grade teacher at Northwood Elementary, later joining Shoal River Middle School as a 7th grade Life Science teacher in 2021. She earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Western Governors University continued her professional growth by earning a master’s degree in science education and educational leadership. She stepped into leadership as Dean in 2022, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow in this new role!

Letavious Wilks - Assistant Principal at Davidson Middle School

Letavious Wilks - Assistant Principal at Davidson Middle School

Mr. Wilks began his journey at Crestview High School, first as a student, then as an ESE History and Adult Living Skills teacher. For the past three years, he has served as Dean at Walker Elementary. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in educational leadership. We’re thrilled to see him take this next step in his career.

Michael Denton - Assistant Principal at Ruckel Middle School

Mr. Denton brings a wealth of experience, having taught math and science, coached soccer, and served as a consulting teacher. He has previously held assistant principal roles at both Wright Elementary and Pryor Middle School. He earned his Bachelors’ Degree from the University of North Florida in 1995 and his master’s in educational leadership from the University of West Florida. Though he couldn’t attend the board meeting, we celebrate his continued leadership!
