Riverside Elementary School Donates Pajamas To Children in Need

Riverside Elementary School’s P.A.T.T. (Parents and Teachers Working Together) Organization completed their 3rd Annual Pajama Drive right before the holidays.

During the month of November the faculty, families, and students of Riverside collected brand new pajamas to donate to the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center.

This year Riverside collected 165 pairs of pajamas to donate to local children in need.

Gabe McCallen, a third grader, stated, “It made me feel good and happy to give pajamas to kids that need them.”

Riverside fosters a sense of giving in their students with their giving instead of receiving program, spearheaded by fourth grade teacher, Jennifer Richards and Guidance Counselor, Connie Rice.

Richards said this year was the largest number of children in need she has had since starting the program a few years ago.
