Report Cards will be available for view in FOCUS on Tuesday, October 18. You may notice some descrepancies in the final grades your child (in grades 1-4) receive on their report card compared to the grades you previously saw in the FOCUS Gradebook. As you know, FOCUS is a new system to all this year: parents, teachers, staff members, and district personnel. Due to this, grades were not necessarily calculated with the correct "weighting" across the school district. In an effort to hold students harmless, grades were calculated as weighted and unweighted. All students across the district received the higher of these 2 grades on their final report card for Quarter 1. This has since been corrected in the system, and students in grades 1-4 will receive a final grade for Quarters 2-4 which reflect the correct "weighting" with 70% and 30% grade categories.
