Celebrate Literacy Week with Kenwood!

Kenwood is so proud of our students who participated in the District Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical and Poster Contest today at Niceville High School! The competition is sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Sigma Omicron Omega Chapter. Our students demonstrated respect for Martin Luther King, Jr., and his legacy, responsibility for learning about his impact on our society, and leadership through well-composed and beautifully presented speeches and posters! Way to go, Bulldogs!

Winter Break begins with early dismissal on December 21, 2023, and continues through January 5th for students. 》December 21st - Early Release @ 2:20 p.m. 》January 4th- Teacher workday/student holiday 》January 5th- District-wide professional development day/student holiday 》January 8th- Students' first day of the 2nd semester!

Thanksgiving lunch reservations need to be in by Friday, November 3rd.

Don't forget to Fall Back on Sunday, November 5th at 2 AM.

Monday, October 9th is a Teacher Workday/Student Holiday!

10:00am 8-17-2023 There is a power pole on fire on school grounds. No one is in danger and there are no evacuations at this time. Classes in portables have been moved into the main building as a precaution. No structures are in danger however power is out in the Kitchen. The Ocean City- Wright Fire Department is on the scene and Florida Power and Light is in route. We will provide updates as we receive them. Thank you.

Okaloosa School District Officials have consulted with Okaloosa County Director of Public Safety Patrick Maddox while monitoring a line of severe weather that will affect Okaloosa County tonight, December 14. All activities scheduled to take place after 6 pm are canceled to ensure the safety of our students and staff. All after-school activities, including extracurricular activities, daycare, and tutoring that occur before 6 pm, will continue as scheduled.

Power at Kenwood Elementary School has been restored and school operations are back to normal. Thank you and have a great day.

Kenwood Elementary School does not currently have power. The power company is on site working to fix the issue. Everyone on campus is safe. We hope to have the power restored shortly and will share updates as the situation progresses.

Kenwood is proud of our behind-the-scenes Education Support Professionals for all the hard work they do for our school. We honor the cafeteria staff, classroom assistants, custodians, front office staff, and media center assistant. We celebrate you today and every day!
