Peggy Land Nehring has called Northwest Florida her home for 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in French from the University of Florida and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. She has a  12-year-old daughter, Olivia, who is a proud Pryor Pirate.  

Nehring has over 20 years of educational experience from pre-kindergarten to college and career training. She began her education career in 1997 as a French teacher and has taught students in grades PK - 12 and college. Nehring has served as an administrator for elementary, secondary, and career professionals since 2004 where she has facilitated vision and mission building, program authorization and implementation, school accreditation, master scheduling, and curriculum and instruction. As an Education Program Specialist for the Department of Navy, Nehring assisted Naval and Marine installations worldwide in the recruitment, selection, training, and placement of financial managers, auditors, and accountants.   

Nehring has been honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Pryor Middle School for the past seven years. While at Pryor, Nehring’s focus has been to ensure that every student is challenged to grow and succeed by providing differentiated learning opportunities along with career exploration. She has been instrumental in working with faculty, district leaders, and local industry professionals to provide high-quality career and technical education programs such as building construction, coding, engineering, and robotics.    

Nehring is committed to partnering with families and community members to help every student grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Success starts with strong relationships, and Nehring is thrilled to begin building those at Kenwood Elementary School.
