✏️ B.E.S.T. Writing Assessment – March 31
On Tuesday, March 31, our 4th and 5th grade students will participate in the B.E.S.T. Writing State Assessment (Homerooms). This important assessment allows students to demonstrate their writing skills and their understanding of Florida’s academic standards.
At Bob Sikes Elementary, we know our Bullpups have been working hard all year to strengthen their writing through planning, drafting, revising, and editing. This assessment is a great opportunity for them to showcase their growth and learning!

Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep before testing
Provide a healthy breakfast on the morning of the assessment
Make sure your child arrives on time to start the day stress-free
Encourage a positive mindset—remind them to do their best
Talk with your child about the Plan → Write → Edit process they use at school
