We have an exciting and busy week ahead at Bob Sikes Elementary! Please review the important events and reminder
Special Event Reminder:
FIELD DAY! ![]()
BSE Field Day events kickoff this week! Here are some important details to remember:
- Photo ID is required for entry - Enter through the Track Gate entrance; Gate opens at 7:40am and field day events are scheduled to begin at 8:00am and end approximately around 12:00pm.
- Only Approved Field Day Volunteers w/Badges will be allowed in the student tent zone.
- Students cannot check out until the completion of Field Day; At the completion, students will be able to check-out with their teacher - ID required for approved check-out.
- School-age siblings cannot be checked out to attend field day - Once field day is completed, siblings may be checked out through the Front Office
- Students may not wear cleats or gloves to compete.
- Concessions will be available for purchase March 2nd-6th
- Bring your own lawn chairs for seating; There will be designated areas for parents/visitors.
Prepare your sneakers, bring your enthusiasm, and get ready for a day filled with fun and friendly competition! Let's make some unforgettable memories together. See you on the field!

Tuesday – Character Spotlight Night
Focus on the main character.

3–5: Explain what motivates your character.

Wednesday – Text Detective Night
Read nonfiction or informational text.
K–2: Share 2 facts you learned.
3–5: Identify the main idea & supporting details.
