As the new school year approaches, the Okaloosa community is coming together once again to ensure every student starts the year prepared through the annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive. This year’s event will take place on Friday, August 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Walmart locations in Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville.
Held during Florida’s back-to-school tax-free month, Stuff the Bus offers an easy and meaningful opportunity for families and shoppers to give back while they shop. Community members are encouraged to purchase school supplies and donate them on-site to help students in need across Okaloosa County.
In addition to the August 1 event, donation boxes will be placed at various local businesses throughout the county to expand collection efforts. These additional sites will be announced as they are confirmed and shared on the district website and official Facebook page, making it even more convenient for residents to contribute.
