The Okaloosa County School District is set to build a new K-8 school in Crestview to address overcrowding in local schools. Approved as part of a $175 million bond, the 1,200-student facility will open in August 2026, marking the district’s first new school in 16 years. The school will feature modern amenities, including two-story classroom wings, a gymnasium, and a media center, and will be located on a recently acquired 80-acre parcel. This project is part of a broader initiative to enhance the district’s infrastructure and accommodate future growth.
