We want to provide an update regarding the facility issue previously shared. At this time, the matter has not yet been fully resolved. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and comfort of our students and staff, we are continuing to address the situation as quickly as possible.
As a result, we are planning for a half-day tomorrow, with dismissal at 11:30 AM, to allow for continued repairs. We will keep you informed of any further updates as they become available.
If you choose to keep your child home, the absence will be excused.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we work to resolve this issue promptly.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ms. Walker’s bus will not be in operation today. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Any student who misses school as a result will have their absence excused.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ms. Weekly-Hayslip's bus will not operate on April 8th. We anticipate normal operations to resume on April 9th. Any absences related to this transportation disruption will be excused. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Good Afternoon, we just found out that Ms. Walker's bus will be running behind due to a traffic backup on HWY 85. The shows a 15-30 minute delay at this time, but could change once the cause of the traffic has been cleared.

Florida law dictates that any student, who misses 15 days within any 90 day period, must be reported to the State for truancy. The next reporting time is coming up, so please send in any doctor's notes/excusals for our office to update the system. Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need any assistance.

We continue our regular communication with Okaloosa County Public Safety Director Patrick Maddox as we monitor the unusually cold weather conditions sweeping the south. Please be aware that our area is expected to experience temperatures in the 20s on Tuesday morning.
School will continue as scheduled, so please be sure to bundle up! We appreciate our Transportation and Maintenance Departments, who are working diligently to ensure our buses and classrooms are ready for students and staff.
If you choose to keep your child home due to weather concerns, please send a note upon their return so the absence can be excused.

Message from Okaloosa County School District:
We are monitoring the storm moving into our area. At this time, the primary impacts for Okaloosa County are expected to be very cold temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. According to the latest reports, wind and ice are not anticipated to affect the school day or travel to and from school. There are no changes to Monday's schedule. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and stay in contact with local and regional weather officials should anything change. Attention Parents: We are excited to say that the Parent account for FOCUS has been linked to our account now. You should be able to access your student's grades and class info by signing up for an account through
https://www2.okaloosaschools.com/page/focus-parents. Progress Reports/Report Cards will be distributed through the FOCUS accounts. Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or problems with access. Report cards should be available after 5 on the 17th of October.
