Welcome to Ruckel Middle School. We are committed to providing critical transitional support for military-connected students as they relocate to our school due to a parent's change in duty station. Our focus is to eliminate barriers to the academic success of military-connected students. We are here to assist and support the military family lifestyle in such areas as school transitions, frequent moves, deployment, and education inconsistencies that exist from state to state, along with many others.

Our Student 2 Student (JS2S-M) Ambassadors program is a student-led leadership program with the mission to take care of new students. The S2S Ambassadors welcome our incoming students, show them their new campus, and introduce them to their new community. S2S Ambassadors provide fun ways for new students to get to know other students, build new peer groups, and engage in leadership opportunities. The S2S program brings military and civilian students together to create a positive environment, support academic excellence, and ease stressful transitions. The ambassadors can also answer questions about extracurricular activities, clubs, and coursework. 

Ruckel Middle School staff receive professional development concerning how to identify and respond to the needs of military students and their families.

Ruckel Middle School reserves at least 5% of controlled open enrollment seats, as defined in Section 1002.31, F.S., for military students.

We honor and celebrate our military families throughout the year in many ways:
