Local Teachers and Schools Participate in Project Hero Gulf Coast Challenge

Two local teachers, June Robbins, Eglin Elementary School, and Cindy Jannazo, Lewis Middle School, participated in the Project Hero Gulf Coast Challenge while students from Edwins Elementary School, Fort Walton Beach High School, Mary Esther Elementary School, and Florosa Elementary School, cheered on riders.

Founded in 2008, Project Hero is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping Veterans and First Responders affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and injury achieve rehabilitation, recovery, and resilience in their daily lives and increasing awareness to combat the national mental health emergency posed by PTSD and TBI.
