BIA’s Rain Barrels on Parade Benefits Local Art Teachers

Alan Baggett, Executive Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Inc. (BIA), presented Rain Barrels on Parade donation checks to the school several Okaloosa County Art Teachers at the April 9th School Board meeting.

The BIA’s rain barrels were hand-painted by students in Okaloosa and Walton counties and displayed at the 2017 Parade of Homes. The barrels were auctioned off with proceeds going to the schools’ art departments and a BIA scholarship fund.

  • Carmen Patterson - Ruckel Middle School
  • Kim Moran - Fort Walton Beach School

  • Sarah Harris - Kenwood Elementary School
  • Maya Schilder - Northwest FL Ballet
