Introducing Ms. Rosemarie Morris

In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Morris also maintains the Academy’s website, serves on the Emerald Coast Odyssey of the Mind Board of Directors and the Okaloosa County Education Association Executive Board.

Ms. Morris has been teaching in the Okaloosa County School District since 1999. She taught at Davidson and Shoal River Middle Schools and at the Okaloosa Youth Detention Center prior to joining the Academy faculty in 2013. Primarily a Science and Math teacher during her career, she has also taught Language Arts and Social Studies.

Having earned a Master's Degree (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in mathematics and science education and a Specialist's Degree (Ed.S.) in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization Alternative and Special Education, she is currently in dissertation for a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) with a specialization in Alternative and Special Education.

Ms. Morris holds teaching certificates in the Middle School Integrated Curriculum, Middle School Math, Middle School Science, Exceptional Student Education (K-12), English as a Second or Other Language (K-12) and is also Gifted Endorsed.

Ms. Morris has been married for over 28 years to the most perfect husband in the world. Her hobbies include reading, travel, and volunteering with the Emerald Coast Odyssey of the Mind program.
