Dear Parent/Guardian,
Under Florida Governor and First Lady DeSantis’s leadership, initiatives for enhancing Floridians’
mental health and wellness resulted in a series of education rules related to mental and
emotional health, substance use and abuse, and child trafficking prevention. The Florida
Department of Education has entrusted Florida School Districts to provide age and
grade-level appropriate education on those topics. For additional information,
refer to the State Board of Education Rules listed below.
- RULE NO: RULE TITLE: 6A-1.094121 Mental and Emotional Health Education
- RULE NO: RULE TITLE: 6A-1.094122 Substance Use and Abuse Health Education
- RULE NO: RULE TITLE: 6A-1.094123 Child Trafficking Prevention Education
To meet mandatory state requirements, the Okaloosa County School District is utilizing
Suite 360, a state-approved online curriculum. All elementary and secondary students
will complete a series of age and grade-level appropriate modules designed by experts in
the field of mental health. Parents wishing to preview lesson summaries, vocabulary,
and follow up questions may access The Florida Edition Teacher Companion Guides
for 2020-2021 here.

Parent Satisfaction Survey
Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn,
staff to work and parents to send their children for a great education.
In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes
and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback.
Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization.
The data from the survey will be returned to the District to be shared with each school,
its parents and the community.
The survey can be accessed online at OCSD Parent Satisfaction Survey.
Our school may also provide you with a paper copy to complete.
The survey will be available through March 13, 2020.
Thank you for your interest in and support of your child’s education with us.
Please contact your school if you have any questions concerning the survey.
