ABOUT US

Mission Statement:

The mission of Shoal River Middle School is to prepare our students academically and socially for success at the high school level and beyond.

Shoal River Middle School, the home of the Mustangs, is Okaloosa County’s newest middle school. Located on the southeast side of Crestview, Shoal River is a state of the art school with wide halls, a large lunch room, Starbucks style decor in the library, and a beautiful gym. These features provide the best of everything for our students.

Offering classes from basic to honors in all core curriculum areas, Shoal River has an academic program designed to reach a diverse student population. From tutoring to gifted enhancement, every student is encouraged to acheive.

In addition to our excellent academic offerings, Shoal River Middle School is the premier CHOICE middle school in Florida, offering career education for all students. Shoal River is proud to offer elective courses in Information Technology and Culinary Arts. In addition, we offer SSTRIDE, a partnership with FSU College of Medicine which offers training for students interested in a career in the medical field. With the current state-wide focus on training in careers, Shoal River is leading the pack.

With a combination of a newer school, a dedicated faculty, and outstanding career education, Shoal River Middle School is a great place for both students and parents.
