Dear Mustang Parents, due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, and in efforts to reduce the spread of the virus in order to protect our community and beyond, Governor Ron DeSantis has decided that public school campuses are to be closed until May 1st.This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and as a preventative measure to limit the spread of illness in our community. We will follow all CDC guidelines which means the closure may be extended. As more information is made available to us we will inform you as well.

Due to COVID-19, public education is going to look very different here in the near future. Our school district is shifting to online learning, and “school” will be in session beginning Monday, March 30th.

I want to assure you that we are working diligently to ensure that we have the resources available to support our students and employees through these challenging times. School devices will be issued on Tuesday, March 24th. We will have a process of how we will distribute these devices to those who are in need of one. Due to limited devices, we will provide only one device per family.  Therefore, we are asking that at this time, only those in need, request a device. In addition, there will be an option to request internet access if assistance is needed. We will be releasing additional information on Monday March 23rd on our website and through a school call out, detailing the device pick-up process and times. Please know that we are here to support all of our students and families navigate this new type of learning. Your student will continue to have their same teachers, but in an online classroom!

Communication is key as we move to virtual campuses. Messages are continually posted on the Okaloosa Schools website (, and through district and school call outs. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to sign up to receive emails directly from Superintendent Chambers, please visit the district website.  Under the picture of Mr. Chambers, there is a link to add your email address.

We will get through these troublesome times as we all work together for the best interest of our students and families. It is my hope that we can fill our school again quickly with the best students.

Kindest Regards, Craig Miller

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work and parents to send their children for a great education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback.

Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be returned to the District to be shared with each school, its parents and the community.

The survey can be accessed online at OCSD Parent Satisfaction Survey.

Our school may also provide you with a paper copy to complete.

The survey will be available through March 13, 2020.

Thank you for your interest in and support of your child’s education with us. Please contact your school if you have any questions concerning the survey.
