2021 Congressional Apps Challenge

We are excited to announce that the 2021 Congressional Apps Challenge will be open for registration in just two, short weeks and is now open for pre-registration! Dozens of students have already preregistered and it is important to preregister as soon as possible so that students may begin working on their apps over the summer. We will be sending out reminder emails over the summer and once school is back in session regarding the competition.

Please copy and paste the link below into your web browser to preregister students. If a student is preregistered, they will automatically be entered into the competition when the Online Submission Portal opens, June 24th.

CHS Bulldog Camp

Bulldog Camp for new students and incoming freshman at CHS is scheduled for July 27, 28, 29 from 9-1

The cost is $35 and includes lunch for each day and a t-shirt

The deadline to register has been extended to July 2, 2021

Shoal River Lobby Renovations

Beginning Friday June 11th renovations will begin on our front office lobby. For everyone’s safety the front office lobby will be closed until further notice. If you need assistance at the school please call our front office at 850-689-7229 and someone will assist you.

Career & Technical Education Survey

As we come to the end of the year, the Career & Technical Education office needs our CTE students and their parents to help rate our CTE program by completing a CTE Survey.  This survey is very important to all of our CTE programs and your assistance in helping us shape and improve our CTE programs is invaluable. 

We have developed a quick questionnaire that will provide information about an individual’s interaction with our CTE programs.  The survey should take less than five minutes to complete.  Please complete the survey, which can be accessed through the link below.

SRMS Robotics

For the first time in Shoal River Middle School's 11 year FLL Robotics history all three robotics teams won bids to the Northwest Florida Regional Competition.  This year's teams were Technical Difficulties (all boys), Mizz Fitz (all girls) and Freedom LEGOs (mixed gender).   Technical Difficulties won the Engineering Excellence Award which is given to the team that shows excellence in all aspects of the competition and were awarded a bid to the Florida State competition.
