Mustang Nation, on Saturday April 18th Governor DeSantis announced that schools will remain with online instruction for the rest of the school year. That means Shoal River students will continue with the online learning platform that has been in place since March 30th. Our Mustang families and staff have done a remarkable job thus far, and we will continue to support your student and have a successful completion to the school year. As always, we continue to work together and support each other. Please contact your student’s teachers should you have any questions regarding your child’s online progress. Further information will be forthcoming in an effort for items in student lockers to be picked up and textbooks returned.

Regards, Mr. Miller

Communication is key as we move to virtual campuses. Messages are continually posted on the Okaloosa Schools website (https://www.okaloosaschools.com/), and through district and school call outs. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to sign up to receive emails directly from Superintendent Chambers, please visit the district website.  Under the picture of Mr. Chambers, there is a link to add your email address.

We will get through these troublesome times as we all work together for the best interest of our students and families. It is my hope that we can fill our school again quickly with the best students.

Kindest Regards, Craig Miller

Information on helping children deal with the Covid 19 Pandemic here.

As this school year began who could have imagined the global changes that would occur especially with education due to COVID19. I invite all of Mustang Nation to join with me in celebrating our wonderful teachers at Shoal River this week. We have a dedicated staff who takes seriously the responsibility it is to not only teach and educate students but to mentor, coach and help develop a framework for their future. I hope that you will find someway to recognize the teachers here at our school and the great work they perform each day.

Kindest regards, Craig Miller

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work and parents to send their children for a great education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback.

Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be returned to the District to be shared with each school, its parents and the community.

The survey can be accessed online at OCSD Parent Satisfaction Survey.

Our school may also provide you with a paper copy to complete.

The survey will be available through March 13, 2020.

Thank you for your interest in and support of your child’s education with us. Please contact your school if you have any questions concerning the survey.
