Middle School Foreign Languages

Learning a foreign language is increasingly important with the globalization of the world's economy. For students who are planning to attend college, a minimum of two years of foreign language is generally required for admission. Many Florida colleges and university expect at least three years of a foreign language.

Most Okaloosa middle schools offer foreign language instruction as an elective course. In some cases, high school credit may be given to eighth graders but this must be coordinated with the high school and testing is generally involved. Ask your guidance counselor for more information.
