Take Me Home Program

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's is maintaining a database that will allow deputies to assist residents they encounter who may be unable to identify themselves or where they live. Examples could range from someone with autism or dementia to a person with mental disabilities.

The program is a joint effort by the Okaloosa County Sheriffs' Office, Bridgeway Center, Mental Health Association of Okaloosa/Walton Counties and the Okaloosa County School District.

The database will include the person's name, physical description, age, gender, contact information, referral agency, medication and photo or bracelet identification number.

Residents of Okaloosa County can go to the Sheriff's Department website at www.sheriff-okaloosa.org to register.
