Dear Antioch Families,
Get ready for one of our favorite traditions of the year! Our annual Aviator Day has been rescheduled to Friday, November 6. We look forward to bringing our Antioch community together for an evening filled with games, activities, laughter, and family fun!
Aviator Day is a special tradition at Antioch, and we can't wait to celebrate with our Aviator families. Each classroom teacher will host a booth, providing plenty of games and activities for everyone to enjoy!
Your $7 armband gives your child unlimited access to many booths, games, and carnival-style activities, a cupcake walk, face painting and tattoos, karaoke, and so much more! Armbands are for children ages 3 through school age. Adults do not need an armband. Armband sales will take place at school Monday, November 2, through Friday, November 6. Armbands will also be available for purchase at the event for $7 each (cash only). When your child purchases an armband at school, it will be sealed in an envelope and sent home. Please remind your child to keep up with the armband, as it is required to participate in the games and activities. Exact cash is requested for school purchases, as we cannot make change. Checks are also accepted and should be made payable to Antioch Elementary School.
A few changes to our usual setup will help us make the most of our November celebration. Because the time change means it will get dark earlier, some activities will be located throughout the school in addition to our usual activities on the blacktop. This will allow us to continue offering a fun and enjoyable experience for our students and families as the evening progresses.
Aviator Day is an important fundraiser for our school. All proceeds raised will be used to support school improvement and provide classroom and student supplies. Our teachers may be reaching out to families for help with setting up or working at their classroom booths. If your child's teacher has not already asked for your assistance, please be on the lookout for a flyer with opportunities to sign up for a short volunteer shift. Our Antioch parents are truly the backbone of our success, and we are so grateful for the time, energy, and support you give to our students and school. Your partnership helps make Antioch Elementary such a special place for our Aviators!
