Silver Sands Students Create Gift Tags To Support Agencies

Not sure what to do with your old holiday cards? Donate them to the students at Silver Sands School.

The High School students of Silver Sands School, under the direction of Cathie Williams, participate annually in a community project for their social skills class. This project, now in its fourth year, raised $560.00 with holiday gift tags made from recycled greeting cards.

The money was then donated to the following agencies: Animal Protection League $150.00, Coalition on the Homeless $150.00, NW Florida Blood Drive $150.00, and $100.00 to Youth Count, which is a new agency that assists Okaloosa County Students who are experiencing homelessness.

For more information on this worthwhile project, please contact Cathie Williams at 850-833-3446.
