Mary Wright, Edge Elementary School, has been named the Okaloosa County School District’s Senior Volunteer of the Year.

“We are so grateful for all Mrs. Wright has poured into our students and school over the last ten years,” said Principal, Dr. Samantha Dawson. “She leads a group of tutors from First Baptist Church who work with our students twice a week to practice reading and math skills. She says she is humbled by this honor and enjoys working with the children. We love you, Mrs. Wright!”

Articles - 2019 - Southside - Crestview Manor

The Southside Primary School family was able to collect enough snack items to make 44 treat bags for the residents at Crestview Manor Assisted Living Facility. These full sized plastic grocery bags were filled with pudding cups, Jell-O cups, honey buns, cookies, moon pies, granola bars, cereal bars, cracker snack packs, hot cocoa packets, a variety of chips, lot and lots of chocolate and hard candy, Slim Jims, nuts, raisins, and more. Each resident was given a nice supply of personal snacks to enjoy between meals in their own rooms.
