Okaloosa County School District wants to thank the new Eyemart Express of Destin for their generous donation of a Welch Allyn Vision Screener. This vision screener will be used in our schools during our mandated health screenings for early detection of eye problems, leading to early interventions and increased academic success for those students. The Okaloosa County School Board approved the following new administrators at the May 28, 2019, School Board Meeting: Kathy Anderson, Edge Elementary School Assistant Principal; Robert McElroy, Meigs Middle School Assistant Principal; and Mandy Lopez, Walker Elementary School Assistant Principal.

Articles - 2019 - REFUEL Camp

Science Teachers, grades 3 – 5, were given hands-on, standard-based activities to engage students in science during the REFUEL Camp. Teachers completed lessons, discussed tips to increase science comprehension, and collaborated on resources.

“One of the most valuable parts of the camp was the collaboration time teachers had to make connections with other teachers across the district and learn from each other,” said Science Curriculum Specialist, Tami Ellis.
