JulieAnn Smith began her teaching career as a U.S. History and ELA teacher in a small New England town. She was later hired by a larger school district to create and then teach a curriculum aligned to new State Assessments. Ms. Smith won a state award for this curriculum and presented at the Connecticut Teachers of English annual conference. She was later contracted by the Connecticut Department of Education to assess new teacher licensure portfolios. Ms.
In preparation for the upcoming school year, the Okaloosa County School District offered CPR training, in partnership with the Andrews Institute, for all coaches interested in the being CPR certified. Over 40 coaches across the district took advantage of this training. More training similar to this will be made available in the future for coaches. The safety of our students is our top priority.
