The Okaloosa County School District is committed to providing homeless students school stability, continuity, and access to classes and programs to ensure academic success. The Title IX, Part A, McKinney-Vento Homeless Act protects the educational rights of children and youth experiencing homelessness. 

Panhandle Regional English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Leaders held an annual meeting at Destin Middle School at Regatta Bay on December 14, 2018.

Okaloosa County Schools will be closed for the Winter Break Holidays from Friday, December 21, 2018 - Friday, January 4, 2019. Monday January 7, 2019 is a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday. School resumes Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
