Crestview High School recently announced the creation of a new Bass Anglers Sportsman’s Society (B.A.S.S.) Master’s Club. As part of the B.A.S.S. High School Nation, young anglers can compete in the B.A.S.S. High School Nation Opens and in the B.A.S.S. High School Nation Championship. Teen anglers can also attend the High School Elite Experience, a free opportunity for anglers who live near certain Bassmaster Elite Series tour stops. The B.A.S.S. High School Nation is helping shape the future of the sport, one high school club at a time.

Articles - 2019 - NHS - Dye

Michael Dye, NHS Choral Director, was recognized at the December 9, 2019, School Board meeting for being Named the 2020 Florida Secondary Music Educator of the Year by the Florida Music Education Association. He will receive his award in January at the Florida Music Education Association 2020 Convention in Tampa.

Dye has devoted his career at the Choral Director at Niceville High School since 1991.

Eddie Steadman, the Music Teacher at Eglin Elementary School, was recognized at the December 9, 2019, School Board meeting for being inducted into the Florida Bandmasters Hall of Fame for 2019.

Steadman was inducted into the Florida Bandmasters Hall of Fame during the 30th Annual Florida Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame Weekend in November at Stetson University. The event included a banquet and two concerts to honor the Roll of Distinction Inductees and Hall of Fame inductees Joe Hooten and Eddie Steadman.
