Theatre students from Fort Walton Beach High School, Choctaw High School, and Niceville High School recently attended two Disney Performing Arts Workshops at the Disney Festival of the Arts at Epcot. The students performed the opening number from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and attended a concert featuring Broadway stars Gavin Lee and Heidi Blickenstaff.

Laurel Hill School recently participated in the FIRST LEGO League program. This program is a hands-on STEM program which introduces students to the fun and excitement of science and technology and challenges students to think like scientists and engineers. The team must solve problems, develop engineering concepts, learn presentation techniques, and acquire programming skills.

Journey Washingtonhigh, a junior at Fort Walton Beach High School, was selected as the 2019 Florida Department of Education Sunshine State Scholar Winner for Okaloosa County.
