CONGRATULATIONS to two outstanding Niceville Senior High School artists for winning top awards at the Okaloosa County Van Porter Art Show.  The annual event showcases 8th through 12th grade art students in Okaloosa County. These students received recognition and awards for the artwork they submitted to the Van Porter Artist of the Year show hosted by the Arts and Design Society (ADSO) of Fort Walton Beach.

Maggie Wollard, a senior, won two awards at the Van Porter Art Show, including the ADSO Award for her piece, “Knuckle Sandwich,” and also earned the top award of Van Porter Artist of the Year. Maggie has taken art for the past four years at NHS, and she will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Hunter Gould, also a senior, won 1st Place for his piece, “6 PM Jelly,” which was completed in charcoal. Hunter has been enrolled in art at NHS for two years and will be attending college next fall.

These students’ work will be displayed at the Arts and Design Society. The Niceville High School Art Show will take place on March 31-April 2nd, which will include their 2nd Annual fundraiser, Art After Dark, which will take place on Wednesday, April 1st from 5-7 P.M.

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work and parents to send their children for a great education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback.

Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be returned to the District to be shared with each school, its parents and the community.

The survey can be accessed online at OCSD Parent Satisfaction Survey. Our school may also provide you with a paper copy to complete.

The survey will be available through March 13, 2020.

Thank you for your interest in and support of your child’s education with us. Please contact your school if you have any questions concerning the survey.
