Meigs is proud to have a new parent group PAWS - Parents Advancing Wildcats Spirit. This new group has already made a tremendous impact around our campus from providing a wonderful luncheon for teachers on their most recent workday to helping spruce up our campus. PAWS has a new section to our school website. Select the PAWS tab near the top of the page for more information and group details.

Report Cards and MAP reports

Students will be given their report card for the 1st nine weeks during 1st period on Thursday, Oct. 19.  Report cards may have attachments. Possible attachments include: IEP progress reports, A or A/B honor roll certificates to Fudpuckers, and/or an FSA grade level performance letter from governor Rock Scott.

Students will also receive their MAP progress report during science class. MAP is the new assessment used in Okaloosa County School District to track student progress and growth over time.

Be sure to review report cards and MAP results with your student. For a parent teacher conference or for questions related to MAP reports, please contact the Guidance office.

Change for Children

"Change for Children" is an exciting fundraiser in Okaloosa and Walton County schools. Students in elementary, middle, K-12, and high schools bring in their change to help support The Children's Neighborhood - which provides emergency shelter and homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in our community.

Meigs' campaign to support CFC begins Thursday, October 19! Bring your change and drop it in the bucket at lunch! Together we will make a difference one handful of change at a time!

At Thursday's PEPRALLY we will announce how much change we have collected on our first day and continue our efforts throughout the year! At the end of the school year, the grade that collects the most will win a surprise!
