School Board Names New Zone Foremen

John E. R. Jamieson II was named Zone Foreman Maintenance – Fire Safety and Winston Reed was named Zone Foreman Maintenance – South at the December 14, 2016 School Board meeting.

John E. R. Jamieson II – Zone Foreman Maintenance – Fire Safety

John Jamieson II is a retired MSGT from the Air Force and has been with the Okaloosa School Board for over 15 years.  He started with OCSD as an Electrician 1 working on the intercoms, sound systems and scoreboards.  During his time with the District, he moved into a Lederman position and then in 2009 he became the South Maintenance Foreman.

John has been happily married to Nancy for 34 years.  Nancy is also a retired Air Force MSGT and currently works as a manager for Boeing.  They have three kids Christina (married to Jason Smith together they have 4 kids), John III, (married to Brandi), and Sean (married to Allyssa).

John enjoys riding his motorcycle, bowling and working on cars.  He has recently completed all the requirements to become a State Fire Inspector 1, and holds an AA degree from Northwest Florida State College.

Winston Reed – Zone Foreman Maintenance – South

Winston Reed was born in Milton, raised in Crestview, and graduated from Crestview High School in 1996 with a vocational scholarship.  Reed started working with National Elevator directly after graduating high school and worked there for 2 years.  He then started plumbing with Hughes Mechanical on Eglin for 6 months, before getting hired by Okaloosa County School District in the summer of 1998.  He has worked in Central Maintenance for 16 years doing plumbing, and recently was promoted to the Lederman position in the South zone for the last 2 years

Winston has two beautiful children, Lexis, 14, and Levi, 11, that he loves very much.  “I would like to thank the School District for selecting me to fill the Foreman position, and for a great career this School District has provided for me and my family,” said Reed.
