S.A.M.E Makes Donation to Bluewater and Kenwood Elementary Schools

The Emerald Coast Post of The Society of American Military Engineers (S.A.M.E.) recently presented Bluewater and Kenwood Elementary Schools with a $500.00 donation for the advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

S.A.M.E. is a professional military engineering association in the United States and  unites architecture, engineering, construction (A/E/C), facility management and environmental entities and individuals in the public and private sectors to prepare for-and overcome-natural and manmade disasters, and to improve security at home and abroad.

The local Emerald Coast Post of S.A.M.E. has a mission to promote STEM advancement in our area schools for the development of the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Bluewater Elementary School intends to use the funds to purchase supplies and non-fiction science books for their science classes. Kenwood Elementary School plans to purchase non-fiction science texts for students to use for science research sources and to build a Common Core science base.
