Meigs MS Beta Club Donates Baskets to Local Charities

The Meigs Middle School Beta Club recently presented Easter baskets to two local non-profit organizations, Children In Crisis and Shelter House. Children in Crisis is committed to establishing homes and providing hope for the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community and Shelter House supports victims of domestic violence by providing shelter, intervention and primary prevention programs to the community through education, awareness and advocating for social change. Shelter House serves men, women, and children in need.

“The students collected enough goodies to make sixty-two baskets for these very deserving children,” said Carla Hunt, Meigs Media Center. The students were excited to present the baskets to representatives from the two charities, Hunter-Lynne Silcox, Children in Crisis and Erica Cary, Shelter House.
