Mary Esther Elementary School Celebrates Police Appreciation Week

Mary Esther Elementary School honored SRO Deputy Jenna Oliver and the entire police force recently during Police Appreciation Week.

“Deputy Oliver is a valuable asset to our school and the students love seeing her around campus.  I had students fill out little slips of paperwork to tell her how they feel about her at our school.  She is always helpful and the students enjoy talking with her.  I want to thank you all for your dedication and support for our school,” said Noralynn Mills Taylor, Mary Esther’s Library Assistant and K-Kids Sponsor.

Ruth Sykes, the Kiwanis sponsor, coordinated with the Sherriff department to visit with K-kids.

“We were pleased to have Deputy Oliver and K-9 Deputy Nucci talk with the K-kids.  They enjoyed having them as our guests.  We wanted to have them speak to our students in K-kids to learn what they do in their particular jobs with the Sherriff Department,” said Taylor.  “For Police Officer Appreciation week, we as a school say a BIG THANK YOU for all the men and women who keep us safe on a daily basis.”
